We have been aware for some time that our old shipping rates calculator that was based on the total order value and not package dimensions, was problematic for many orders with lightweight parcels on many occasions being allocated an excessive amount. Whilst we always reviewed the rates on each order received and revised the rate at the time of receiving the order, we know these incorrect rates would have turned many of you off ordering from us, if you didn’t know that revision was possible.
New Shipping Rates
Well now we think you will like our new shipping rates calculator based on the higher figure of actual weight of the order vs volumetric weight of the order. When you enter your shipping destination at our checkout, you will be given a flat rate depending on the shipping zone your destination is in.
Important notes re correctly filling out billing and shipping address details
- The shipping rate calculator depends on the address in the shipping address section. If your shipping address is the same as your billing address you will need to ensure that the Ship to Different Address is unticked, so the billing address can populate the shipping address fields. If you do not untick, and a different address is not entered, the website will tell you that it cannot work out a shipping price. Of course if you do want your order to go to a different shipping address than your billing address, then you will need to manually fill out the shipping address fields, and the shipping calculator will do its work.
- Getting the postcode right is important for the shipping calculator to work properly. for e.g. if you are in Surrey Hills which has postcode 2021, but you input the suburb as Sydney and postcode 2021, this may cause an error in shipping rate allocation. Similarly if you put the wrong postcode for a place, the checkout will ask you to input the correct postcode to calculate the shipping rate.

Rates marked * in Rural and Remote – some rural and remote destinations will require additional freight surcharges due to our courier service needing to use freight on forwarders for areas they do not service. We will notify you if this is the case and ask for your approval to proceed before completing the order.
For orders that exceed 25 kg in weight – Our courier service has a weight limit of 25 kg and volumetric limit of 100 litres for any one package. Should your total weight of your order exceed these criteria, requiring the order to be sent in several cartons rather than one large carton or requiring use of another courier service that will take large cartons, we will contact you with a quote for your shipping cost and ask for your approval to proceed before completing the order.
